I searched the triple J site and couldn't find any current animation or video advert competitions. The one we talked about in class was the Pixel Freaks Competition.
Rob suggested that we just continue with the Triple J theme anyway and if we make something cool enough we could send it in. So I was hoping to get a discussion going about what we want to do. (I'm talking to both teams...)
I thought we could do an advert or maybe several very short ads (5-15 seconds each).
What do you guys want to do?

5 seconds seems a little bit short to me, if we think in relation to the 11 second club projects then 15 seconds seems like a good length. I'm a little bit short on ideas at the time of writing, personally I'd like to brush up on my composting skills (which also kinda covers motion graphics) however I'd be more than happy to work in 3d as well.
I think a good starting point would be to choose one word to describe a "theme" for us to run with, considering we're going with the Triple J thing then maybe we should choose a word like "Noise", "Rock", "Harmony", "Chill", or something else along those lines. Once we have a theme word for what we are doing then we can start to throw around ideas.
That's a great idea. If everyone does want to do the 15 second clips, we can use a different music theme for each one. That way they are tied together but (because of the varying themes) can look and sound radically different from one another.
For 'noise' we could do a hard core granny rocking out to Cradle of Filth while jumping on her bed and playing air guitar...
